Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley awards $130000 to local nonprofits


Foundation: Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley

The Community Foundations of the Hudson announced Friday it has awarded $130,000 to nonprofits across Ulster, Dutchess, and Putnam counties.

The program invests in local non-profits with general operating, program, and capacity building support, a news release said.

In Ulster County recipients included the Center for Creative Education based in RUPCO's mixed-used Energy Square building in Midtown Kingston.

"I really can't overstate the impact that a Community Foundation grant has on out programs," said CCE Executive Director Bryant Andrews.

In Dutchess County, the recipients include Arts Mid-Hudson, Common Ground Farm, Community Action Partnership for Dutchess County, Inc., Dutchess County Pride Center, Dutchess Outreach, Fareground Community Kitchen, Inc., Finish Strong Wellness Center, Howland Chamber Music Circle, Mediation Center of Dutchess County, Inc., Mid Hudson Aquatics Inc, People USA, Ramapo for Children, RDC Loaves and Fishes Inc., Rebuilding Together Dutchess County, Unshattered, Wassaic Project, and the YIT Foundation.
